Second World Circus Day, 16 April 2011
The Second annual World Circus Day was a great success. More that 160 circus partners in 39 countries participated in 125 festive events to celebrate the Second World Circus Day on Saturday, April 16. Special statements, messages, decrees and resolutions were issued to commemorate the day:

Personal greetings from H.S.H. Princess Stephanie of Monaco to all those who made this day such a success were placed on the Federation website and sent directly to all participants on World Circus Day.

The Vatican’s Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People World Circus Day Message which spoke of the great contribution of Circus as a vital part of human culture and paid homage to all circus artists and workers. It further recognized the social, cultural and pedagogical value of circuses and the importance of World Circus Day in promoting public awareness about Circus. Translation: FR EN DE ES NL

A Resolution passed by the House of Representatives of the State of Florida, U.S.A., recognizing April 16, 2011 as "World Circus Day" and urging all Floridians “to celebrate, promote, and preserve Florida's rich circus culture and history.”
- A Resolution passed by Circus Friends Association of America, Tent no. 2 in recognition and appreciation of World Circus Day as a means of “engaging the people of the world in a wider appreciation of the Circus arts.”
